The last thing you want to do is settle on a niche idea, buy a domain name, build your site, fill it with quality content, then find that there are very few (if any) affiliate offerings relevant to your niche and subject matter.

So, before you settle on your niche, first do some research into what affiliate products are available for you to promote to your readers, whether they seem legitimate and reliable, and if the commissions on offer are worth your time and efforts.

At the end of the day you're an online marketer, so you want to be able to make money from your site and all your hard work.

Nicely done Darren. This should be helpful to many of the newbies to help further break it down and understand what it's all about.
