Page or Post

When you first go on to Wordpress Editor, you will come to the Dashboard.

There you will be able to select Pages or Posts.

You will choose Pages for the first three tasks which Kyle asks you to do, Which are:

  • An "About Me" Page
  • A Privacy Policy Page
  • A Getting Started Page

For most of the subsequent posts that you write for your Blog Roll, you will choose Posts.

So to create a new Page or Post, you click on the one you have chosen and click on it.

For this example I have chosen Posts, but you would use the same process if you choose Pages

When I clicked on Posts, the following small window will open:

Click on "Add New" as shown by the arrow, and you will arrive at your Text Editor page.

The fundamentals may seem obvious to those who have been here a while, but there is always something new to learn for everyone. Even if it's just a refresh.
