When you're first getting started online, it's easy to make the mistake of thinking you need to "sell stuff" to as many people as possible to be successful.

I know I did.

But that's actually the LAST thing you want to be doing as an affiliate!
And in this video, I explain why.

I'll also explain how switching your focus to helping people who visit your site can massively increase your success both now and in the long term.

Tim, thank you for sharing a very helpful approach in how we can make money without being pushy and 'salesy,'
Helping is very important as we are telling others about the advantages and benefits of products or services
That's the main approach we should take to creating our content on our website.

Good message, Tim
I personally dislike websites that have ads interrupting an article every five or ten lines and have drop down ads that interrupt your reading .I will leave that site and most likely never return. Good points all the way .
If you put yourself in your reader's place and remember what you hate most about trying to maneuver through an article, it will be easy to understand the helpful attitude.

How do you put that in action? My niche is gifts. I think I am helping people by finding the right gift for their recipient. But I am clearly not doing things right. So how do I actually put that in action for my content?

Keep updating blog with original content and good choice of keywords. Also doing it consistency 2 - 3 posts a week a niche a site and that's for the foreseeable future. Consistency is key and Google loves consistency.

In the context of creating a successful affiliate website - you help people by creating helpful content and by promoting good quality (relevant) products/services in a "non-salesy" way. It's that simple really. The more helpful your content is, and the more authentic your promotions are, the more successful you will be. Especially over the longer term.
