SEO 101: Understanding Search Intent
Today, many SEO strategies and campaigns focus on how to manipulate the search engine's algorithm (Google, in most cases) to achieve better positioning.
This is a trend that I view with some degree of concern. Yes, an important part of SEO work consists of placing certain keywords in the correct places, making sure that the technical aspects of the site do not harm its position, and building links to the domain to demonstrate authority; but this, in my opinion, is not the essence of SEO.
I believe that the most fundamental component of developing a good SEO strategy lies in understanding search intent.
See it this way: Google's primary goal is to deliver the results that best meet their search. In the same way, the primary goal of the SEO professional should be to create the best possible content to satisfy the user's Google search.
