Hey Trish,
This is training that will come in very handy for me. I was dropped from Amazon but now have been renewed. I need to go back and redo all my links on one website so I can change them. Now I have the knowledge!!!

Tried and True

Hi Trish,

Wow, thank you very much for taking the time to show us how to remove Amazon affiliate links.

Watching this video made me feel a little more comfortable with what I need to do. I am going back to watch this... I'm sure several times. It takes me a while...lol.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Thank YOU Monica... lol, I forgot to point out in the video that I was on the Text tab... but I think most viewers will figure that out, hopefully sooner than later. Hope you're having a wonderful weekend too. And... THANK YOU for encouraging me that I wasn't "butting" in on that other chat. Much appreciated! {{{HUGS!}}}

Hi Trish, thanks for the training. I use Amazon and I was just wondering if you knew the difference between the short code and the long code that's available on their site? Is one better to use than the other? Thanks

Hey Stefanie,

Because website visitors don't like to see looooong links (which affiliate links can be) and because Amazon will NOT allow their Associates (those of us who are their affiliates) to use link cloaking like Pretty Link, I prefer to use the short link.

Hope you find this helpful.

Hi Trish, thanks for replying so quickly. I take it it's ok to use your own anchor text with the link under that so nobody can actually see the link on that page? Sorry I'm a bit confused as you said people don't like to see long links, but they don't actually see that long link code do they? Thanks

Hey Stefanie,

It's better to explain with pictures. See screen print below.

Hi there, thanks for that, I know exactly what you mean now. I didn't even know that happened! A picture really can paint a thousand words. Thanks for your time :-)

They sure can Stefanie, and being as I am a visual learner, I find it easier to demonstrate with visuals too. You're very welcome. Always glad to help out.

Enjoyed the teaching triblu

To avoid having to correct in text i put most affilite links at the end or indented.
Then in visual i can delete quickly. No text affected.
