Under normal circumstances I would welcome all comments with open arms. Comments on your WordPress blog add to the content and are a great way of boosting your search engine position. So, whenever possible I would always try to keep every comment that I get on my blog. However, there are a few types of comment that might do your business more harm than good.

There are basically 3 types of comment spam that might not be so welcome on your blog.

  1. - Automated comment spam.
  2. - People that are trying to constantly promote a scam.
  3. - People sending abusive comments.

In this training I'm going to show you how to block all three types of spam comments.

Thank you so much, Andrew. I didn't know you could do this. I don''t get many but every once in awhile there's another one.

Right! And I found that once you start getting the odd one, there are usually more to follow! I made the mistake of accepting a couple of spam comments in a couple of different articles and now they think they can send me more every day!

Hello Andrew,

Thanks for the training. As my online business progress, I'm starting to receive spam comments regularly. This will really decrease my workload, so I can focus on the more important aspects of my business.

Cheers,
