So lets look at some Pinterest Statistics, so you can see why Bloggers use & favour the platform
Currently there are just under 480 Million Active Users
50% Of that Audience comes from outside the US, so a huge global share
Total number of pins saved by users is 240 Million
When a Pin is saved it has the same effect as bookmarking a blog post for future reference
There are 5 Billion Interest boards. This is only rivalled by YouTube in terms of Video Uploads, which are YouTubes Equavalent of Pinterest boards
In terms of traffic, well between October 2020 & March 2021, Pinterest had 1.22 Billion total visits, yes you read that right 1.22 Billion visits, so it is a good platform for traffic generation without question
The platform is currently worth just over $49 Billion Pounds
Pinterest and YouTube are the only social platforms that interest me. I love the concept of grouping people with same interests, so one can select a community, without getting into FB or Twitter opinions from everywhere.
More focus on a particular audience to me would be simpler, but maybe in the future, I'll try those.
What do I know, anyway?LOL

Very useful information. I have had a Pinterest account for a long time now but I have been holding off using it "properly" until I fully understand the rules and get a handle on the best strategy for posting pins to boards. I understand that Pinterest has some fairly strict rules about how frequently you can pin images to boards and if you break a rule your account will be banned. I've heard of quite a few affiliate marketers stumbling into Pinterest and making that mistake.
Clearly, it is a platform that is very distinct and offers some serious advantages.
Thanks again for illuminating these interesting stats.
Cheers
Andy
