A common misconception is that the platform is mainly for women
But that is because it is used by over 70% of females
What you may not know is this.Pinterest is for bloggers
It is effectively a platform for bloggers to share their blog posts & obviously drive traffic to that website
Blog posts are shared by the use of boards, which comes from images on your website.
Creating a board is really easy as long as you have a pinterest account
Once you do have then creating a board is very easy
In fact its much the same as creating a category on your blog.
You can call the board what you like, but a good idea is to name it as a keyword.Similar to YouTube

Thanks, Dave!
Pinterest and YouTube are the only social platforms that interest me. I love the concept of grouping people with same interests, so one can select a community, without getting into FB or Twitter opinions from everywhere.
More focus on a particular audience to me would be simpler, but maybe in the future, I'll try those.
What do I know, anyway?LOL

Thanks, Dave
Very useful information. I have had a Pinterest account for a long time now but I have been holding off using it "properly" until I fully understand the rules and get a handle on the best strategy for posting pins to boards. I understand that Pinterest has some fairly strict rules about how frequently you can pin images to boards and if you break a rule your account will be banned. I've heard of quite a few affiliate marketers stumbling into Pinterest and making that mistake.
Clearly, it is a platform that is very distinct and offers some serious advantages.
Thanks again for illuminating these interesting stats.
Cheers
