Another useful trick I have found is to hop onto Google and look for sites that are within the same niche as you. Have a peek through their site to see what they are writing about and take notes about topics that you could also write about.

Again, head on over to Jaaxy to see which keywords you can use that will get you ranked and start writing - if you can!

There are many other ways to get ahead of writer's block, but for myself, I have found these couple of things to be useful when I don't have to energy to try more complicated tactics.

Remember that you are not always going to be able to find topics and write about them in one day. Especially when dealing with writer's block, you may only come up with a title and maybe a few headings, but that is better than nothing. I have had posts sit, with just those few things, for weeks before I finally felt I could write about it. But when the block takes a hike, you will have many things to write about without having to spend that time researching. Always great to be productive, even if it is only a little bit!

Leave me a comment below if there is anything you feel I have missed or let me know what you think of this training. I really hope I can help at least some of you!

Thanks for sharing Leah! I also found the free-writing exercise pretty powerful to overcome writer's block, you may want to try that out too :)

Oh cool. I'm trying so hard to not go off and learn anything anywhere else until I've worked through all the training here - and there's so much am not sure I'll ever be done. Hehe.

Thanks, Leah. I found this most informative and useful. I don't necessarily come short of things to post about as much as I do when it comes to the actual writing. I'm not a very talkative person so it is a definite challenge for me to get conversational in my posts.

All the best,

Brian

First step is knowing what you want to talk about! So you are doing better than me most days! haha

Thanks,,.writers block is horrible...I know it, I have been there and step all the time back to it...the worst is when you know exactly what you want to write about, you have your keywords set...but then the big empty nothing....
Will check out Udemy for those courses...good tip!!!

Yes, I hate sitting and staring and the words won't come out. Especially when you know what you want to say, but not how to say it! That is where I have got really good at creating potential posts...Titles, couple headings...save for later lol
