2. Write your Juicy content
It is a must to set goals on how many words you want to write for your post/page. This of course varies depending on what you are writing about. Here are my goals for them.
Review
For reviews I make sure to always aim for at least 1000 words or more. The reason being, that these sort of post/pages tend to have lots of juice (content) to squeeze. You can spread out your content by going into detail of every feature the reviewed product has, give the item's specifications, your final thoughts, etc.
Deals
For deals I don't strain too much on the word count. I try to set a decent goal depending on what the deal is but they can be 300 to 500 words. But remember, If you don't reach that count for deals, it's not the end of the world.
How To's
For how to's it is the same as for deals. I don't worry much for the word count BUT I make sure to lay out the tutorial I am giving in the cleanest, most detailed way possible. To do this, once I finish writing it, I go over the content and ask myself 'What would the readers need more information on?'.
Later on I'll be writing a more detailed Tutorial on Writing Content.
Onwards!
I went on a little research spree today to find out a bit more about Image optimization plugins.
I found some good stuff on the internet, here are two of the things that stood out (due to their dates).

He compares these plugins and others to see which are best for your website). In this video, Smush proves to be better for image compression which gets a faster page speed on your readers' end.

In this post, Teddy recommends another plugin 'SEO Friendly Images WordPress Plugin' but mentions Smush and Ewwww Image Optimizer as equals.
I know there are many plugins for this and that we get EWWW Image Opt installed but, unless WA hosting does have a conflict with other plugins except for this one, I would say that you are fine with either of them.
I personally like Smush because it has always worked for me and hasn't caused me any problems.
All I'd say that you should use the right one for you, but the important thing is that you use one. Image optimization is a must when using images in your content.
All the best,
Luis
