If you deal with professional type people you need to know what they are saying about you or about the products and companies you represent. LinkedIn is the worlds largest social media site for professionals.
Everyone from small business owners to corporate giant executives have a linked in account. Most of you I'm sure already know this but what you might not know is there is a way to listen in on what they are saying.
It makes no difference what type of people you're dealing with you need to know what they are saying and what they think. LinkedIn Signal provides that tool for LinkedIn.
This tool is somewhat new and I'm sure they will make it a bit more comprehensive in time. Like most things it takes time to develop these tools to the point where they are perfect but this will get you some real insight on LinkedIn.
Just type in your keyword or company name and you can dig around and see what people are saying. This can be a great way to dig up promotional garbage but sifting through that can lead to some real information that you can leverage for content or to answer questions.
The more you know about you're niche, the questions people are asking, and the things people like and dislike the easier it becomes to convert a visitor into a customer.
