Learn More About Your Digital Footprint
I learned about metasearch engines when I worked for a short time as a student loan collector for one of 17 contractors for the U.S. government.
I learned metasearch as a tool to skip-trace (fancy term for the word find) folks that defaulted on their student loan obligations. This was a short period for me but very interesting to put it mildly.
Of course, I had access to several cool tools at this job and tools that I needed security clearance for. Do you know how I found nearly every one of my skip trace cases . . . by their digital footprint.
My most used tools were Dogpile and Facebook. Many folks couldn't comprehend how I found them. It was cool.
Anyway, bringing this around to training again let's have some fun by metasearching ourselves. You'll be surprised what you find and what is recorded, digitally, about you.
All You Need to Do . . .
. . . is search for your name in Dogpile or a similar metasearch engine. You will be surprised what you find (and what others will find).
I'm going to close this training up now but before I do I will provide a list of metasearch engine links on the next page for you convenience.
