Know Where You Are Starting
This is perhaps one of the most difficult things to do. When you first enter at WA and you are consumed by all the blog posts, messages, emails, successes - and earnings - you immediately want to be a part of it all.
You must remember though, that you are now beginning. You are starting from zero - 0 - here. Even if you come in with experience and knowledge, this is a NEW environment with different expectations and ways of doing things.
Instead of rushing in, it may be more appropriate and beneficial to:
- take your time,
- learn the platform's structure,
- begin your training,
- complete the tasks as instructed in your training,
- quietly start observing comments and exchanges to understand behaviours and norms.
As you go through the training and start to share your experiences such as getting indexed and your financial goals, you begin the process of engagement. This will eventually mushroom and faciliate the spreading of your roots, respect and credibility.
It's A Marathon, Not A Sprint
The only competition you have at WA is with yourself!
It is up to you to set your goals and objectives, with a firm and realistic understanding of the time that you have available to you. If you are working an 8-hour day and you are a single-parent, you just will not have the same time as an at home 25-year old who is with his parents, receiving all the support that he needs.
Be honest with yourself and allocate your time accordingly. If you only have 2 hours a day to invest in WA, be clear about how you are going to use that time.
In the beginning, it will mostly be directed to training and learning.
It's amazing how we often know where we make mistakes and do nothing about it, but when someone else point that out to you, then you stop, think about it and start making a change.
So, thanks for this reminder! I will definitely take step by step and use my time wisely as you suggested!
Keep writing, you are definitely doing an excellent job!
All the best!

Yes, at one point or another , we all are overwhelmed with the amount of information that comes rushing to us. However, we have to find a way to navigate around it all and use only what we need and let the rest fall by the wayside.
Thanks for the great advice you so willing provided to help us avoid the constant overload and in so doing find some form of balance. Wishing you the very best!
Kind regards,
Nichola
I'm used to staying focussed and getting things done in a timely manner in an offline world. However, I seem to get more easily distracted online and need to apply a touch more self discipline!!

I have noticed over the years that when the going gets tough the most underwhelmed people tend to have been the best organised.
The best organised tend to have been those who capture all there 'stuff'' in writing in some form, (thereby dumping their stuff outside of their mind, thereby minimising interference in their minds). They then turn their stuff into action lists that they priorotise based on what they want to achieve.
