There are several ways that you can organize your photos with Google +.
- Albums
- Tags
- Date
- Face Recognition
- Location
Create albums for your photos to group photos that are similar or part of a project. Name your albums something that makes sense to you so you can quickly scan for groups of pictures.
Tags are keywords that you attach to a photo. Tags are great to use when photos could be in more than one album. For instance the family vacation to Disney World photos would be contained in one album. Tags could be added to the photos in that album to identify people, places or objects. Photos can have more than one tag making them visible in several categories. Searching through large amounts of photos becomes an easy task when tags are used.
Google + offers a face recognition feature to organize people in photos. Some people feel that face recognition is an invasion of privacy so consider if it is something that you want to turn on or leave off.
Most cameras and smart devices automatically add dates to photos. Google + allows you to organize your photos by date.
Smart devices have a geo location setting that can be turned on and off. When turned on photos are tagged with the location that they were taken.
