Business Information
The business information you include in your Google My Business (GMB) listing is a sound ranking signal for the Google’s Local Pack; so it is crucial to give more than enough detail, including your business categories, description, phone number, full address, photos, opening hours, website URL, and images.
Google Reviews
Google reviews are another crucial ranking signal for the Google’s Local Pack. Enterprises with diverse Google reviews and a higher level of quality are likely to appear more in the Local Pack.
If you haven’t ever asked your clients to write reviews on Google, it is high time you started doing that, but do it moderately lest you have your GMB listing compromised. If some clients need assistance with how they can add ratings of places and leave reviews, Google has a detailed guide on how to go about that through its support forum.
Local Business Citations
Besides Google My Business, there are a couple of citation sites that will assist you with improving your local search engine optimization (SEO). Sites such as Yellowpages, Yelp, Superpages, Facebook, Apple Maps, Foursquare, and Bing will enable you to include your business listing.
Among others, Moz has an amazing allusion to the most famous citation sites for your business location and category.
This is a good review of local SEO. JAy did a webinar for SEO about a month ago where he covered Google my Business. I set it up after that webinar.
Using all the tools that we have available is just good sense. It is great that you are here to remind us of so many things.
