For those of you who do not want to hassle opening your phone to remove your SD card to upload images to your computer.................

Use your USB cable.

The following video is a step-by-step tutorial on how to transfer your cell images to your computer using your USB charging cable.

For those of you who would rather use the SD card directly, You can transfer your images by safely detaching your SD card from your camera, then insert into an adapter that you can then insert into a port on your computer.

Here is a cool All-in-one tool you can use to transfer your SD card images:

You can insert the SD card, or insert the SD adapter, then plug into any open USB port.

Do you use a camera instead or in addition to your cell phone when taking pictures?

Remove your camera's memory card.

To transfer the images from the SD crd or memory card, follow the same steps as shown in the video.

For text purposes, simply insert your SD adapter card or memory card into the computer slot, select:

  • Windows Start Icon
  • Select Control panel (open windows systems floder, select Control panel from there)
  • Select Devices and Printers
  • Locate MultiMedia Device
  • Right-click to BROWSE, left click to select the device (SD or Memory Card)
  • Open DCIM folder (Digital Camera IMages)
  • Select images that you want to transfer. Press Ctrl and the letter A to 'select all' or press the Ctrl button and use the mouse to select images.
  • Right-click highlighted images, and selectCOPY
  • Open new folder ON COMPUTER, right-click and paste images into that new folder.
  • Minimize new folder, and return to Devices and Printers
  • Right-click and select REMOVE DEVICE -
wait about 3-10 seconds for the image to leave page
    • you can SAFELY remove the SD/Memory Card/All-in-one USB from the computer.

I'm familiar with the transfer, friend. But the all-in-one tool you have in the first image, is new to me. I have never seen such a device. Where have I been? I have to get one. Thanks for sharing. All the best!

    Thank You, Rudy!
I must try this, as I've been going to my computer guru to do this for the last few years.
I've been selecting photos and emailing them to myself, so I can download and upload to WA posts.
I'll try this tomorrow, when my head is fresh!
    Thanks, again, Rudy!

Rudy, your video just taught me 3 other things that I have been having trouble figuring out, on top of the photo exchange! I didn't realize that I needed to have a folder opened before transferring the photos. Great training and thank you for this outstanding share!

You're welcome, Stephen. It's much easier to open a folder in anticipation of adding images, especially when recording a video...

However, once you have copied the images, you can paste them anywhere, word doc, email or new folder. All you need to do is open a folder, find a neutral area, and right-click/paste.

With my own websites, I created an image folder for all of my images, respectively of the website. Then I can easily find the image or images I'm looking for when I need them.

I'm glad that this video and text content was a help to you.
