Let's pretend just for now that you want to do more with your link and for whatever reason the site you are using isn't as user-friendly as your resources at WAU. But, it does accept HTML coding.

In building this tutorial within WAU, I mentioned the tabs at the bottom of this builder screen that say, "Design", "Source", "Preview". If you will be entering HTML for a link just like the one we saw in the first step, you will need to click on "Source".

That will bring up a screen that looks like this:

You will see that it looks like a lot of gibberish and there are symbols you may not recognize. Each of those symbols represent HTML coding that tells your website builder what to do with what you want others to see.

If you want to add your own linking code to your website, this is where you can do it. You can also insert code to put in a picture, graph, or any other graphic you want to share. This takes a bit of detective work to find the exact spot where you want to place your code within your website, but just take time. Note that you will need to scroll all the way to the right because this source screen (as do they all) can go on forever to the right before it returns.

Let's say I want to place a link for Quackit here, but I want to make it look a bit different than what the code originally gave me.

When I'm adding the code myself, the code will look like this for a clickable link to another site either within your website or to an external site:

Knowing actual HTML always helps. Blogger has a decent interface for those who do not know any but want to transfer HTML between applications.
