Now let's just have some fun with HTML. To create some interest on your website, lets forget that WAU makes it easy for us to change font colors, the size of fonts, whether you want bold, italic, or underline. Let's even forget that all you have to do is click to left align, right align, or center your text.

Remember, this is just for the fun of it and if you Visit Quackit , you will find out how to get the code to insert images and all sorts of fun things to ramp up your website.

Here are some simple codes you can use:

, for example. I won't complicate your life with using Hex codes (universally recognized color numbers instead of color name)

(any size you want)

(for bold - i.e. The dog went to the store for kibbles)

(for italics - i.e. The dog went all by himself to get some kibbles.

(for underline - i.e. The dog went to the store to get some kibbles (will underline the word kibbles)

(aligns your text to the left as it is here)

(aligns text to the right>

(aligns text in the center of your page)

Remember: At the end of what you want to highlight or change, there has to be a code telling your builder to end. For example, you must end whatever direction you gave in the beginning. To end bold, you must put at the end of the area you want in bold. To stop the font color, you must also end that by putting in . Otherwise, the rest of your entire page will be in bold with a different color of text!

Just remember that all HTML coding you use must be complete or it won't work. Even one symbol not in the right place can (and will) drive you nuts before you realize why your coding isn't working.

Last, let's look at some reasons why your coding may not work and what to do about it. In Step Four, I will show you how to go over code to see what's missing. This is especially helpful when you are copying code generated for you from another site.

Knowing actual HTML always helps. Blogger has a decent interface for those who do not know any but want to transfer HTML between applications.
