There are several great tools on the market for helping you improve your writing readability. One of the better ones I have found is the Hemingway App.
With the Hemingway App which is also available on your desktop/laptop, making sure your writing is easy to read and understand is a snap!
Let's look at the app through the Internet version for ease of use.
How to find the Hemingway App
Easy enough. Go to hemingwayapp.com.
When you get there, you are right on the home page of the desktop version and can begin checking your writing immediately!
In the example shown, you can see that some text is highlighted. These are "problem" areas which could make your writing harder to read and understand. Remember, if your readers have a hard time making it through your first paragraph, you will lose them!
So what does all this mean? Well, the Hemingway App, tells you exactly what is wrong with your writing.

I have a love/hate relationship with Grammarly, because I am a poor speller and Texas is where I learned to communicate. We have as do all regions, our own acceptable way of expressing ourselves.
This is an app that might help there. Also when you have lived as long as I have, writing in the past tense is reflective of my memories.
It would be helpful to have help with that as well.
