Enter your headline in the box that looks like:
Click "Analyze Now" and the tool will give you the score and grade for the headline.
Make it a goal to get a 'green' score (70 or higher) with an A+ Grade. This will ensure that you're headline is most effective. If the best you can do is a score of 65 with an A+ grade that is ok. Always strive to make your headline the best you can while using your keywords. [update 4/20/2016]

Headlines are so important - I like to use words with double meaning for instance for a blog about pets I used "Reigning Cats and Dog" - Reigning because cats like to think they rule us, (I purposely didn't make the word dog plural as we have only ever had one but quite a few cats) and because of the old saying "it's raining cats and dogs"

Thanks for the tutorial and introducing us to the analysis tool. When you say headline here will it be the title of the post? So do we need to ensure our key word/phrase remains in the title? Thanks!
I did try it out and got a couple of 67% and A+ headlines. Do we prefer a higher grading or score. Hard to meet both and keep key words too...
