Creating Keyword Targeted Content

Here at Wealthy Affiliate we have an amazing tool called Jaaxy. This keyword research tool is fantastic for quickly finding out what people are searching for within your niche.

If you are just starting out, you can get a Jaaxy account with 30 free searches.

Using the Jaaxy Keyword Research tool couldn't be easier. To do a basic keyword search within the software, simply head over to the Jaaxy Dashboard and enter a keyword relating to your niche...

In the example above, we can see that I started by entering a keyword phrase into the software. In this case I entered "How To Write Poetry". Jaaxy then came back with a list of suggestions based on what people are actually searching for. In this image the "Avg" column shows how many searches that phrase gets and the "QSR" column shows us how much competition we have to rank for that keyword. The lower the amount of competition, the easier it will be to rank for that phrase.

Jaaxy tells us if a keyword is good or bad in a really easy to understand format. You can see in the example above that the top 6 suggestions here have a "Great" rating under the "KQI" column. This shows us that we could potentially rank for this keyword.

The traffic section tells us how many visitors we might expect to get, once we have reached page one of Google. 20 or so visitors may not sound like a lot, but remember, this is just 1 keyword. You can try to rank for multiple keywords per page if you want. Just don't over do it!

You can learn more about keywords here.

Look for a keyword that has low competition with a resonable amount of searches. I would personally go for anything that has a QSR of 150 or less. This way, you stand a good chance of ranking for the keyword.

Next, I'll show you how to create a blog post based on your chosen keyword.

Can I used the Yoast and Jaaxy tools at the same website?

Toast is for SEO and Jaaxy is for keyword research and doesn't integrate with your site directly so, yes.

What you don't want to do is have more than one SEO plugin running at the same time on your site.

Yes, you can run both plugins on the same site. Yoast is the only SEO plugin that you will ever need. Some people use an alternative called All In One SEO, but I prefer Yoast as it does the job very well. As Merlynmac says, you don't want any more than one SEO plugin running as once though.

Good Morning Andrew,

Nice lesson. As I am trying to keep the number of Plugins down I have not put Yoast SEO, perhaps I should try that one and see what they say. As I understand it takes you by the hand while writing your post. I think I will have to try this plugin to see what they say about my writing style etc. Thanks for the tip.

Have a nice Sunday, Taetske

Thank you Taetske! Yeah, its not easy to keep the amount of plugins down. I went from around 15, down to 7, just so that I could keep my site running fast. How it will affect my site remains to be seen. But from what I understand, speed is a big deal to Google these days, so it pays to try and get things running as well as they can.

Hope you enjoy your Sunday too Taetske!

Let me know how you progress,

Regards,

Andrew
