Unpin Folders from Quick Access

Go to your Quick Access area.

Go to the folder you wish to unpin and click on the right-hand menu. There will be an option to "unpin the folder from Quick Access" You might have to "pin" the folder before you can "unpin" it, because even though it is showing up in your Quick Access area does not necessarily mean that it is "pinned" to your Quick Access area. In order to remove it completely, you may need to "pin" and "unpin" it. Sounds confusing, but that is the new Windows 10 for you.

Steph, You are a genius mind reader. I have been avoiding the upgrade to 10 since it debuted. Today when it popped up on the screen I quickly went to hit the close button but I must have missed it somehow and lo and behold the darn thing started to install itself. Thanks for the training on the quick access.

I chuckled when I read your story about how WIndows 10 started to install without you telling it to (or so you thought) - that is actually how I ended up getting it installed on my machine. :)
