Pin Folders to Quick Access within Windows 10

The folders and files you see in your Quick Access are the most frequently used files that you have recently accessed. This list will change from time to time as you use different folders. However, just because Quick Access selects certain files it "thinks" you may want, does not mean it has guessed correctly. You can change the folders and files that you wish to access on a regular basis.

Click on the Windows 10 Icon and click on File Explorer. Once in Quick access, navigate to the folder you wish to pin as shown below. I wish to pin my "WA" [Wealthy Affiliate] folder to my Quick Access.

Click on the Home tab as shown below.

Click on the Pin to Quick Access box that appears. When you now access Quick Access you will see the selected folder you wish to have readily available.

See below that my WA folder is now pinned to my Quick Access.

Steph, You are a genius mind reader. I have been avoiding the upgrade to 10 since it debuted. Today when it popped up on the screen I quickly went to hit the close button but I must have missed it somehow and lo and behold the darn thing started to install itself. Thanks for the training on the quick access.

I chuckled when I read your story about how WIndows 10 started to install without you telling it to (or so you thought) - that is actually how I ended up getting it installed on my machine. :)
