How do You add a TID to Your Link?
This is REALLY easy! Right below where you enter you affiliate ID, there is an input box that says "Tracking ID (Optional):" In this box, simply enter what you want your TID to be. It can be whatever you want, just make sure that YOU know what it is!
If you do enter a TID and you don't know what it represents, then you aren't really doing yourself any favors. You absolutely want to either write it down or remember what it means.
Say for example you are adding a link on Squidoo for you Clickbank affiliate product. If someone clicks on that particular link and makes a purchase, you want to identify that it came from your Squidoo page. I would do something like this -
TID - Squidoo
That code for me tells me that this is my affiliate link that I put on my Squidoo Lens!
Ok, so enter your affiliate ID and then your tracking id and then create your hop link. It will look like this once you create your hop link -
Now if someone buys my affiliate product from that link, I will know that it came from my Squidoo Lens.
Pretty cool, huh?
I do add a separate link for each article. I want to know exactly where the sales are coming from.
As far as a tracking ID on my domain names, you can only add one as far I know. Just redirect your domain name to your affiliate link with your tracking ID for the domain name.
i.e. - www.affiliateid....tid domain.
This is nice, but again, you can only add one tid per domain name though - at least as far as I know.
