- Create a directory for your website by creating a folder inside C:\wamp\www. It should look like this “ C:\wamp\www\yoursitename”
- Download WordPress files from http://WordPress.org/download/
- Unzip the files to an easily accessible directory on your computer. (the desktop is a good temporary home for these files for easy access.) The files will be inside a directory called “WordPress”
- Copy all the files inside the “WordPress” folder and paste them into the directory you created in C:\wamp\www. Your file listing should look like this.

I successfully went through both of your tutorials on setting up WAMP and getting the database and my first WP installation on. Everything is go! I have been in the back office of the installation! I will have a duplicate of the site I now have online but all of my work will now be done offline. When I am ready to update anything, I can now do that. I won't have anymore connection problems trying to work on my campaigns. I will create a database for every installation I put on there. That will be the three most important campaigns I have, WA, of course, being one of them.
This is the next best thing since Google Drive!

I've been out of town. Sorry I didn't get this right away.
It's been six years since I used WAMP and only marginal at best (just able to get it to work) since I have been in this tutorial. I really wish I could help you but I'd have to go through this tutorial again myself.
I just checked on the person who wrote this tutorial and she is no longer here.
Just a quick heads up here, you can go to YouTube or look through the Internet for tutorials on WAMP. I found this video right off the bat. Don't know how good it is but I hope I was of some assistance to you here.

I Googled it and found out that it's the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package. It's required to run applications developed with Visual C++ on a computer that does not have Visual C++ 2010 installed. You can download the dll from the Microsoft site and install it on your computer. You'll find it here: http://bit.ly/Q7yqNW
You'll just need to pick the one that is compatible with your operating system. My guess is that you'll need either the first or the second one in the list. The first one is the 64bit version and the second one is the 32 bit version. Hope this helps!
