Are You Setting Yourself Up For Failure?

The thing is, I think we all have income goals if we are in business and I'm sure everyone would like to be earning 6 figures within a year with any business they start.

But having an income goal may be setting yourself up for failure.

Why?

Because maybe you've set an income goal that is unrealistic. If you don't reach your goal, you may become convinced that the business you're doing doesn't work.

The Old Excuse

I know that many people here in Wealthy Affiliate came from other types of home based businesses. For those of you who were in some sort of network marketing business, did you ever hear people in your company (who quit) say that the business didn't work?

"That business doesn't work, so I quit". That's an age-old excuse that's been used millions of times.

The reality is probably more like....it was the people that quit who didn't work, not the business.

But the bottom line here is maybe they didn't know what to focus on in order to make the business work.

That's why it's important to set the right kind of goals for your business.

I started doing this, it really helps! Clarity is key. Consistency breeds momentum! Discipline, dedication, and devotion may suck at times, but in the determination pays off in the end.

Mary-Elle,
This is so true - members here need to focus on what
we can control not things that are out of our control
and that is what I have been doing when I set my
schedule for this year - nothing to do with money at all!
