How to Sell on Pinterest

Here are some crucial steps to selling your products or services on Pinterest:

  • Find the right niche
  • Optimize your pin description
  • Solidify your brand
  • Optimize your pins for search engines

Find the Right Niche

To sell on Pinterest, you first need to find a niche. This is not an easy task because millions of products are on Pinterest. Moreover, 85% of women use this platform to plan events, buy gifts, and more.

If you’re looking for a niche to market your products, you may choose a topic related to women. Other people use Pinterest for things like automotive parts and pet toys. Thus, your potential buyers are likely to be on the platform daily.

You’ll need to choose a product that will appeal to your target audience. If you’re selling on Pinterest for personal use, your niche should be related to home decor, fashion, and beauty.

You can create your category based on your passion and expertise. If you are looking to sell clothing, you can use your unique style. Remember that your pins should be natural and readable - it won’t help you if they are full of keywords. If you’re new to Pinterest, try using an email or survey to understand your target audience better.

Creating a website content calendar and a social media content calendar will help you manage your time on Pinterest and get the most out of it. Also, make sure your pin descriptions are compelling and include keywords that will increase your sales.

Thanks, Lily. I know women are more in tuned with this Pinterest of a thing. You see, I am trying to use Pinterest as using one stone to kill two birds. In other words, to bring traffic to my website and at the same time, using links from different companies. My headache is that it never work out.
The problem I think is that if people can go straight to the company to buy what they want, why should they need to go through any website? Do you see my point? Do you have an opposite view to mine or something to add or that may work out?
Thanks once again.

You may need to put a link in your pin to a helpful article or review on your website Yem. Not just to the company.
