4. Connect Your WordPress Website to GSC
To get the full status report of your WordPress site, connect your site address to Google Search Console (GSC). Even if your site has been hacked or blacklisted, GSC will send a detailed report and suggest what you can do to exonerate your site.
Though you're expected to have launched GSC on your site by now, you might still not be aware that GSC sends hacking and blacklisting status reports to your site whenever such occurs.
What you need to do is ensure that you have an active email address to which Google bot sends hacking warnings and occurrences. If a site is trying to link up or has linked to your site, the bot will alert you by sending a warning message once a malicious software is detected.
Once you've got the issues fixed as recommended, you need to create awareness for Google that all harmful viruses, spyware and malicious codes inserted on your site have been removed.
5. Rub Off Immaterial Pages
Once you've found that your site has been impaired with some immaterial pages, your content authority might be weakened and your rankings terribly hurt. Sometimes, the Google bot may not be able to detect hacks on your content. Eventually, your Google rankings will bear the consequence.
The harm these immaterial pages will do to your site is that they won't allow the proper inflow of traffic to your content literally. And you may, sometimes, find that your rankings are dropping again and again.
To get this issue fixed right away, all the immaterial page URLs must be manually removed from your index, and this can be done easily through Google Search Console (GSC). Move to the "Google Index' area and choose the "Remove URLs" link. You're done.
