Why do you think every blogger needs more quality comments for ranking? Is blog commenting still an important ranking signal among others? Aren’t some bloggers saying it’s become an old school strategy claiming that Google is smarter than ranking any blog through commenting? What is your own view about commenting being needed for better rankings in search engines?
As far as Google is concerned, blog commenting is not an old stuff but a way of engaging the audience which it cherishes so much. Most people had ignored blog commenting long ago judging that it’s become old blogging stuff.
When I posted a thread about blog commenting on Warrior Forum recently, I was challenged by some bloggers who didn’t believe in blog commenting any longer and was dragged to an extent of being forced to comply with their wrong belief.
Well, it’s a pity that some veterans still remain ignorant despite the exposure given by some pros out there. And this is simply what we mean by being narrow-minded on the part of those bloggers.
But I knew where they missed the road in the first place. There were times when search engines would follow and rank your blog comments. This time around, search engines no longer rank blog comments and, thus, wouldn’t need to follow blog comments any longer since the initial purpose of following was to rank comments.
The belief of those veterans was that since comments are no longer followed by search engines, it’s no more of any use for bloggers to receive site comments, whereas, the issue wasn’t as they interpreted it. It was merely a misapplied change in Google’s ranking policies on the part of those bloggers. Till today, blog comments are very crucial for getting higher rankings in search engines.
Thank you I always get comments at least two or three right after completing my posts not all the same day tho :)
