Upon activation, go to Settings => Comment Approved to access the plugin configuration page:
First of all, you need to actually enable the plugin by checking the checkbox next to "Enable comment approved message". As a result, you'll cooment form will look like this:
And is highly recommended to make the checkbox checked by default on the comment form!
Next, you can define your own customized notification message. You can use the %name%
shortcode to include the commentator name, and the %permalink%
shortcode to insert the post’s link in your email template.
Finally, you can choose between plain text and HTML email.
And that's all ... Click the "Save" button to store your settings.

This is great! I currently use a plug in that is supposed to notify my commenters, but I’m not sure if it actually does, I haven’t tested it yet to know. Plus, my plug in has no options, or boxes to check off, which makes me question it more. I will look into switching to the plug in you suggest here. Thanks for sharing.
