Wider ad sizes tend to outperform their taller counterparts, because of their friendly format.

Readers absorb information, several words at a time.

Wider sizes let them look at things at a glance without skipping a line and return to the left margin every few words, as they have to with narrower ads.

If position correctly, wide ad sizes can increase your earning greatly!

Most effective sizes are:

336x280 large rectangle

300x250 medium rectangle

728x90 leaderboard

300x600 half page

320x100 large mobile banner

While these sizes do really well, ensure use choose the size that complements your pages.

Hi! I want my adsense ad to appear on all my pages, but it appears on only one of my posts.....What am I doing wrong?

Did you add it as a widget? Or paste the code into one page?

I have tried both....When I paste the code on a page, the yellow box appears there, but as I save it, and go back to my page, it doesn't appear. As a widget, it appears in only one of my posts....

I have seen this tutorial, and have followed the instructions, but still nothing. I deleted it from widgets, and seems like I have to add the code by hand to each page where I want the ad to appear...Thanks for all the help!

Recommend you add a AdSense plug-in. After you activate, select setting and edit. There you will be able select where you want the ads to appear.

Is there an AdSense plug in you'd recommend?

Here are a list of a few free ones: Quick AdSense, AdSense Now, Easy Adsense, Adsense Explosion, AdSense Manager, and take a look at Insert AdSense. Please read what each offer, think like a user when viewing your page.

Did you get it to work?

Again, thanks for assisting and check on her when you get a chance.

No....the plug ins were adding the ads either on top or bottom of some of my posts...I want it on the side bar, so it appears always. I was told that it could be my theme that doesn't allow for that to happen "sigh" I'll keep trying.

Follow up: What plugin did you pick? Quick AdSense is my top pick for you. It really easy to use.

Hi! thank you so much for all the help and advise....it was actually easy, but since the tutorial I followed said not to give a title to the text widget, I didn't, and that was the reason it wasn't working! Now the ad is just where I wanted it to be :)

Once again, thank you!

Phoenix I have that same t-shirt, adding it at the beginning was not easy. Please share with others that are having problems with AdSense.

Cheers
