Yesterday, when working on my blog, I realized that the sidebar banners that I put myself would open on the same page (when redirected).
Whereas, the original Amazon links opened in a new tab/window. (I say "original" because I later customized them).
Of course, this got me curious and I thought that the thing might be in the HTML code.
I learned how to make a banner to open in a new window and incorporated them on my blog.
All you need is to slightly modify the HTML code of the banner to get them to open on a new page.
It's very easy and anyone without knowledge in HTML coding can do it.
But first, let's start with what a banner is.
NEXT: What Is A Banner?
How do you figure out the exact place to type in the '<1=_new' in the Amazon HTML. I have been trying to add an Amazon banner to my post. So far, not succeeded. This is why I want to include the <1=_new and try again.
I thought adding a banner was very easy. How could one go wrong with copying the HTML from Amazon; go to the edit mode of your post, mark a position to place the banner; switch to text/code editor and paste and update. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks again
