Let's summarize what we've learned:

1/ Logged into Word Press and scrolled to the Settings section

2/ Clicked on Settings and then clicked on Reading

3/ Selected a choice of A Static Page and then selected a preferred Page or Post

4/ Scrolled down to the blue Save Changes for the process to take effect

5/ Visited site to ensure that the preferred page indeed is now the default Home Page

Thanks for the share. When picking a theme it has been how the first page looks that has affected my choice. Now this means I can choose based on other factors.
