How to add a featured image to your post

A featured image is an image that shows in the top of your post together with the title and follows the post. It is the thumbnail of your post and how it shows is depending on how your theme is set up. To find out if you have this option in your theme, scroll down on the Edit Post page and look for Featured Image, below that heading it says, the set featured image Click this link and the Media Library opens in a new window.

In the new window, you choose and select the image you want to be the featured image for the post or page. When you have selected the imageclick set featured image button and the image you chose appears in the Featured Image Menu.

And this is the end result and how featured image shows in my theme.

Okey, congratulation with adding a featured image to your post, this makes a big difference in the design and makes your post more appealing to your visitors.
In the next and final page in this tutorial, we take a look at how to edit an already inserted image and how we can delete it from our content.

I want to have some fun with my affiliate website catering to veterans. We will see how this goes. I'm playing all the characters....small audio files, using army lingo terms to rate other affiliate programs before I start my review of WA. Maybe a bit too off beat, but sometimes off beat is just the right beat....and sometimes its not. No wonder I always loved that jingle, sometimes you feel like a nut.

i cant get my columns to come in 4 but the editor shows 4 till i get to my page. then its 3. also i have a larger pic at top and the editor shows the caption centered but the page has it off center.
I fix it everywhere but the page still off centers it.

Great training article. Had I searched this hours ago, I would have saved myself a lot of time (and frustration) and the temptation to throw my laptop on the floor and stomp on it like my namesake in the cartoon...Wreck-It Ralph!! LOL! ;)

Lesson learned...next time I'll search when I'm stuck since there's a good chance it's been encountered before and there's some training and/or solution.

Big thanks.
