A/B Test Your Conversion Rate
With so many things in play here, it is really hard to suggest a strategy that fits every online business. Every marketer deals with things differently and has to find out what works and what doesn't for their business, niche, and so on.
However, the great thing about these things is that they're easy to set up and you can test them out to see what works.
But what should you be testing?
You should be testing different yet similar affiliate programs to see which one works better. You should test what call to action work better, what type of articles perform the best, what affiliate links get you the most clicks and sales, and so on.
You mustn't set things and forget about them. Especially things that directly affect your conversion rate and potential revenue.
Therefore, set, revise, and pivot if needed.
Some affiliate programs can tell you which affiliate links perform the best, what banners drive the most traffic and many other stats. Learn how to read these stats and how to use them in your favor.
Also, if you notice that one of your posts is a best-performer, learn from that post to see what works and what can you do to your other posts so they perform as well.
I will try to get these strategies implemented as soon as I can. It is worth noting that not all high priced items equal good commissions. I was browsing affiliates the other day and saw one selling $400 items.
I then looked and saw they paid out only 5%. For helping someone sell $400 in merchandise I don't think $20 is a fair commission! (Especially when many partners offer 10%, which I do think is fair.)
I check Google Console regularly to see if any errors pop up about any broken link, and then I fink it.
Jay also did a class about using Goals in Google Analytics to set up to see how many clicks, if any, you get on your links to increase your conversion.
Great training
Much appreciated my friend.
