When you choose to request Site Feedback, you are given this screen:

Once you enter what post or page you want feedback on, you can choose one of five options for the type of feedback you are looking for:

This is what they mean:

Feedback on my content

This is regarding your written content, usually. If you have created a game or a tool or something, that would be content as well.

This means grammar, spelling, word usage, etc. Is it clearly written so you can understand it? Is it confusing? Does it make sense?

If they list facts in their content, are the facts coming from a source that is clearly labeled? Is it accurate? Is it boring? Entertaining? Does it make sense? Does it have a purpose?

The person giving the feedback needs to read the content as if they were an anonymous visitor from a search engine and judge it based on that alone. You've read thousands of articles online by now, you're an expert!

Feedback on my site design

This is exactly what it sounds like. Is the theme easy on the eyes and the browser? Is it way complicated? Are the colors pretty or an eye sore? Are the fonts hard to read? Is there a logo that matches the theme colors and fonts well? Too many popups? Too many flashing colors? Do the widgets seem properly intergrated to the current theme and colors? Or are they kind of an eyesore too?

Everything that constitutes the design of the website.

You need to look at the website as if you were an average visitor from a search engine.

Feedback on the layout of my page

This is one that is similar to the one previously mentioned. But this one is more about the layout instead of design. Side bars, header, footers could be considered site design as well as layout, but it's usually what is IN them and where they are that consitutes layout. Does that make sense? The content inside the menus, widgets, header and footer and where the main content is located.

You want to look at the whole page and make sure you can read the widgets in the side bars and which ones are there. Should the recent posts widget on the right side bar be below the search widget? Is the ad widget above the recent post widget? Does the layout make sense?

You need to look at the layout as if you were an average visitor.

Feedback on my use of images and media

This is exactly what it says. I don't know how much more clearly it could be explained. Are there enough images? Are the images related to the content or completely random? Are they properly placed or do they cause a problem? Is the image missing? Showing an error?

Remember, you're not an internet marketer, you're an average visitor!

General Feedback

This is everything. Feedback on everything and anything you can think of as the average visitor that you're supposed to be!

Remember, you're a random visitor.

Next up, we get to the How to Give Useful Feedback.

Your training has helped me a lot. I am struggling to offer feedback. This is going to help me to move forward in my training. I could skip this task, but feel its important not to.. Thankyou

This is easily the most detailed training on site feedback anywhere on the web, not just on Wealthy Affiliate. It covers everything possible and even gives examples.

Now all that one has to do is to use this as a checklist while giving feedback on any site anywhere.

Excellent work, thank you!

Awww, thanks so much for your kind words. I was trying to use examples to have examples, not be mean. I was a little hesitant about this one because of that. But glad to see it's so helpful!

That's not what I meant. The examples complement the content very well. In fact they are a must in this case, and makes the training truly complete.

You've also taken adequate care to add anonymity to the images, and that is considerate enough.

I have hardly covered a fraction of the vast training resources here, but this is one of the best.

Thanks again! That's possibly the best compliment ever!

(BTW, I knew you didn't think it was mean. That was me worrying because sometimes there are people who get defensive about things that aren't even about them, let alone when I'm putting real examples up. So I was a little stressed at first about this training. ^_^)

Hi you touch on a subject that is very important to the reader but also the author. Feedback allows the reader to apply knowledge and experience to help the author improve and embellish future blogs for existing and new readers. Great blog.

Woops! When you hit next page after Lesson 2, there is no more and it just drops you into the listing of all of the training modules. This is really good training and I would love to see the rest!

Hmmm, I'm trying to fix it. Maybe lesson 3 is too long! LOL! It's not giving me a warning. I'll break it up.

You should repost it if you can when you are done because its really good and I think the information is VERY useful. I have never felt qualified to give site feedback so this is GREAT!

Okay, I just reposted the page, then deleted the old one. Should be fixed. Thanks for the compliment! (Lemme know if the page about examples of unhelpful feedback seems to mean or something? I was trying to explain why they weren't helpful not pick on people)

Oh, no! It was bang on. I've had to reject Site Comments that were like that. Its like the person didn't even bother to TRY or give any kind of time or attention. LAZY!!!!!

PERFECTION!!! I LOVED the examples of what not to write. You totally nailed the entire topic!

Thank you so much!

I didn't want to be mean, tried to make sure any of them I picked to show weren't identifiable and covered all the different types of unhelpful ones I've gotten, without listing them ALL of course.

I find using examples helps some people figure it out instead of just explaining what to do.

I did look through the other trainings on Site Feedback, but most were suggesting to look for stuff as WA members who know what is involved in websites and affiliate marketing. Since that isn't what I look for in feedback, and the instructions say 'visitor', I felt like making my own that covers it.

Hopefully, it's useful to people. :)
