It's exciting to get your site, as well as individual posts, indexed on Google! But I want you to know that you don't have to just hope and wonder and wait for that to happen. There is something you can do to make it happen faster.

This is not a guarantee. But I have been very successful with this, on two different websites, so I wanted to share it with you.

First, there is one really important thing to know, before going any further --

How do you even know in the first place if your site, or a specific post, is indexed on Google?

Here's how to find out:

Type in the Google search bar -- site:yourwebsitename. For example, site:funnyrabbittrails.com. If your site is indexed, it will show up. Also, the search results will include any of your little bunny trails (i.e. posts) that are indexed as well.

After you have done this, make a list of any posts that are not indexed yet. That is, any posts on that website that do not show up in the search results.

This list will be the posts that you want to get indexed.

Thank you so much!
Your lessons clarified how to deal with this issue.
I appreciate your lessons.
GSC still shows no sitemap index but I guess that doesn't matter since my website and posts do show as indexed and a search result also shows up,
Thank you & Happy New Year!

Update: That post that was taking longer than 15 minutes to get indexed did eventually get indexed. I checked it again because I had a similar delay yesterday. The one I was trying to do yesterday showed up as indexed today, and so did the other one. So I have now seen 100% success!
