Plugin to mail your subscribers / users
Once you have incited your audience to join as subscriber on your website, it is important to interract with them. One way is by using a simple plugin
It is called Email user
It allows you to send an email to the registered blog users.
Users can also send personal emails to each other.
Power users can email groups of users and even notify group of users of posts.

Does that plugin actually tell you to go to your settings allowing anyone to sign into your WordPress Dashboard as a subscriber?
It is my understanding that we should avoid using that option. See screen print below...
The plugin I use on one site (when not using an autoresponder) is Email Subscribers & Newsletters by icegram and that plugin is a stand alone in that they do NOT require a user to go to your WordPress Dashboard > Settings

Yes, same here... just know gdpr and cookie laws apply in Europe and UK. If you have previous consent... you should be able to write to your subscribers through your wordpress site (not a mailer, which is different and requires its own )
