Once you have saved your settings, go to Posts => Re-Order.

This is the page where you can easily change the order of your posts by simply dragging and dropping them in whatever order you wish:


More than that, if you have any custom post types a similar “Re-Order” link will appear for those as well.

As you can see, this plugin will allow you to easily and efficiently revive your older posts, displaying them on your homepage next to your latest content pieces.

Will this change or hinder Google from finding them? Will 404 error messages increase? Does this make sense?
