Upon activation, open the targeted post or page (or create a new one) and you'll notice a new "Animate It!" button in the toolbar of your visual editor:

When you click the new button, a pop-up screen will appear where you can select and design your animation style. There are three tabs: "Entry", "Exit" and "Options".

The "Entry" tab is where you can define how your animation "enters" (appears, starts). You can define the animation type, the delay, the duration and the timing, and as you'll see, there are MANY options:

Similarly, on the "Exit" tab you'll be able to define how your animation ends.

The "Options" tab will allow you to define the "trigger". You have four options: load, click, hover and scroll:

Finally, click the "Animate it!" button to see a preview and if you are satisfied with the result, click the "Insert" button in order to add the given animation to your content.
