We are going to use a handy plugin called Slick Sitemap.

Here it is:

Note: you'll see the usual warning message saying that the plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest major releases of Wordpress ... Ignore it ... I've tested the plugin on Wordpress 5.1 and works fine.

It's a very small plugin (74 KB), but let's see the usual speed tests ...

I just added this free plugin to my author site and I really like it.

I did tweak my menus to get it just how I wanted. I had seven categories across the top menu, and that made the boxes too narrow on the visual sitemap. So I put my press kit under my homepage and I moved my sitemap link to the other menu, the one that has about, contact, earning disclosure, privacy policy.
