Creating a lead magnet

This can be as easy or as hard as you want to make it. Don't spend so much time on creating the Free gift that you never set up your email responder. A great free resource to create your lead magnet is attract.io or Designrr. Or just create it in a word document that you can load up to your My Google Drive as a PDF that anyone can access.

Don't agonize about your lead magnet. Create something with usable facts that your subscribers will find valuable and which is related to your niche website. Give value and quality to create trust with your new subscribers.

Information is currency these days and most people don't have a lot of time to read and they are looking for shortcuts. Short lead magnets have proven to be just as effective in gaining subscribers. Some ideas could be;

  • Resource Guide
  • Mini e-book or PDF - 5 to 10 pages
  • Checklist
  • Cheatsheet
  • E-course
  • A Video

You want to provide a high degree of value in a concise and easy-to-consume download. Make it short and simple. Add some pictures. (I even created mine in Word and uploaded it to My Google Drive and put the link in my emails)

Your lead magnet should provide quality and value. It will build trust and rapport with your new subscriber. You can put links in it to your other website posts, website, and your product. Keep it light and specific to what they signed up for. This is a step in the process of them buying your primary product.

Thanks a lot Lily!!!

I have created the sign-up form with Aweber and put it on my website on the right side: https://youhealwithgrace.com/.

On desktop, it is shown normally. But today I just found out that on mobile only the title shows up (Stay connected with...) but not the frame where people put in their name and email and submit button, nothing except for the title. Please help!

Thanks a lot!

Hi Lily, Thanks for these lessons that are filled with relevant information relating to the core lessons we do at WA.
There is a lot of information that I am not familiar with and most likely I will need to revisit again. I do hope that I will be able to access to it in the future.

That is great news Donna and thanks for your lovely compliment.
You can put email collector into the training question bar and it will bring it up in the lists on that topic or you can click on my profile picture and above it will be a training button that lists all the training that I have created.

You may wish to create a folder on your computer and add any training that you want to revisit. I have one marked Wealthy Affiliate member training. Which I use for myself and to share when someone asks a question.

Have a lovely week,
Lily

Hi Lily. Thank you for sharing this training and for providing it in such an easy to read and follow way. I had to check that I had created my email redirects in Site Manager which I had done, so that was a good reminder. Of course Google sheets can also be used as a way to list all your links too. I have agonized over autoresponders and am still not willing to hand over my precious money. I do now have a GrooveFunnels account which includes and autoresponder for free, as well as landing pages, thank you pages, site templates and much more, see link below for my review.

Anyway, I think your training post is great, thank you.

You are welcome Dave. I felt I should make it easier for anyone following me as it can really chew up some time. Both Aweber and MailerLite are free to get started thank goodness.

Thank you Lily. You have explained the whole process in an easy to understand method..
Up till now I've used MailChimp, but I might just give Aweber a try. Jim
