Create the Visuals

After you develop a visual content plan, you will want to start creating the visual assets you need as outlined in your content plan. Build a collection of visual assets you can use and reuse as a part of your strategy. You can use your "media library" within your WordPress dashboard, but also keep an organized collection on your computer.

A number of mobile phone and tablet applications allow you to quickly and easily create visual assets that you can use on your website. The benefit of using these apps is:

• They are easy to use
• They are inexpensive
• They can be uploaded to social media sites directly from your phone or tablet.

Introducing Phonto

One of my favorite applications for image creation is Phonto which can be downloaded from the application store on your mobile device. You can use Phonto to take a picture from your device and superimpose text over the image. Phonto has some interesting and unique fonts that can help make your images "pop." Phonto is FREE (my favorite word in the English language) or you can upgrade to the paid version for more functionality. I use the FREE version.
