How to Change the Title of your Parent/Child Page
Now, before I show you how you can change the title of your parent or child page, I'd like to mention that it is RISKY to change the title and permalink A LONG TIME after the page was published. If you do that 1 or 2 weeks after the page has already been indexed by Google, this may create error on accessing your page. The only time you can SAFELY change permalink and title is when you are CREATING the page. DON'T WAIT FOR TOO LONG TO DO THAT!
It is advisable to create a new page than MAKING DRASTIC changes after it has been indexed. Personally I've learned this the hard way!
Changing the Title
Lets say you want to have your keyword incorporated in your title but you don't want the long title displayed on your navigation menu. Let's say you want a single name for the title. Its possible to do that as you create your child page.
Lets take for example your keyword is "Lessons on how to start your own business," you want this to be your Parent page. Then "How to select your niche" to be your first lesson, yet you want "Lesson 1" to be displayed at the navigation menu.
How to we do that?
On your dashboard, on "appearance," click "menu," then on menu structure you will find your items and one of them "Lesson" page. Click to the arrow pointing down and you will have two fields: Navigational level and Title attribute. Let your display name "Lesson" remain on the Navigational level and then type in your keyword title on the title attribute. Repeat this on the child page then save your changes.
If you click to the home page then point your mouse on the parent page "Lessons", you will have your keyword displayed. If you like, as you create your new page, you can have your keyword as the title page but when it comes to the page navigation settings you can put your short name. If done correctly, this will work together for the good your business!
Conclusion
In this training we've discussed about what a parent page is and why you may need it on your website. We've also discussed on how to include and arrange the pages in hierarchical order on the structure menu. Before I took this lesson by Jay on how to create parent pages, I had undergone some stressful moments but after learning it, its now fun to do it. Hope it is fun for you too!
Hope this tutorial has helped you to know how to create both a child page and a parent page.

I use categories instead of pages and I include them in my Main Menu.
When I create a new post for the specific category, I include the post in the Main Menu and I drag it under the category.
I've been busting my head trying to figure out how to include Keywords in the post titles and at the same time I didn't want them to appear in the navigation menu. Now I know.
Once again kudos for the excellent presentation.
