Let's Backup Our WordPress Site First

Before we can clone a WordPress site, we need to Backup, or Export our existing WordPress site so that we have an original to work from again if anything doesn't work out as we planned.

Visit this linkto Backup or Export your current WordPress Site, when you have backed up your site, return to this training tutorial.

Remember only to use the Backup Tutorial, the rest of the tutorial is not relevant to this procedure.

Now that we've Backed Up or Exported Our WP Site, let's Proceed With The Cloning.

Thank you for this training. It's good to know about cloning a site because 2 or 3 days ago I was asked about that!

Would it make sense to clone my site when I am doing a second site to save time in some of the setup work?

Do not copy and paste....always type your text. Copy and pasting is bad for your SEO

Good post, I think people need to understand this.
My own personal reason for cloning is so that I can move my site to WA. I want to do this so I can use the comment platform, which is a great plus for WA.
