Two Ways to Change Text Color in WordPress
In WordPress, there are different ways to change the color for your text. Each way depends on which editor you are using in WordPress.
Which WordPress Editor Are You Using?
Use the images below to determine which editor you are using and follow the instructions for the appropriate editor.
How to Identify Which WordPress Editor You Are Using
There are currently two different editors in WordPress. Continue reading below to see what they look like, and which one you are using :)
WordPress Classic Editor (Old)
If you create your websites here on Wealthy Affiliate, then you may be using the Classic editor. Every website here is created to use the Classic Editor by default.
Here is what the Classic Editor looks like:
Classic editor is the original way to create, edit and publish content to WordPress website or blog. (When WordPress was originally released in 2003.)
WordPress Gutenberg Editor (New)
In 2018, the WordPress team released Gutenberg, a completely new and different editing experience. The new editor is referred to as the block editor and allows you to more easily include different types of media in your content. (Images, videos, etc.)
Here is what the Gutenberg Editor looks like:
Gutenberg, was released to accomodate the change from content only being in text form to suit today's era where content is visually rich! And comes in infographic images, videos, mulitple column layouts, etc.
I personally recommend using the new Gutenberg editor, instead of the classic editor. You can make your content more appealing, more easily in my opinion.
Once you figure out which editor you are using, then you choose the set of instructions below. Because the steps you take to change the font color is different in each editor.
