What is a brand audience
Getting it right from the beginning is always essential. Your brand audience refers to a collection or group of people with an interest in your product or services. They interact with any form of your product either from you or your competitors.
The characteristic of a brand audience is that it comprises of people with similar interest and unique character. This uniqueness in character has made the targeting easy. Thus it can transform marketing from guessing about your audience to targeting the right audience.
Below are relevant tactics you should employ in building the right audience.
1) Spend Some time Thinking
The general practice is to narrow down your niche, so many marketers stick to just one thing. I am not an advocate of broadening your niche so wide but rather think outside the box. What else can be unique about your intended client?
If your niche is baby diapers, obviously your intended audiences will be mothers in the age of 20 to 45. But what else will interest this set of women, what else could be their unique characteristics? One good way out here is taking a look at your competitor's audiences alongside.
Although your competitor is offering the same product or services, there can be little difference between the people you are targeting. Find out this difference and use it to your advantage.
