Blog comments can be used to build backlinks, but do not abuse it. If you use them to stuff keyword or place irrelevant links, you will be abusing the privilege. You must ensure that it is done rightly, focus on authority blogs. Find relevant blogs within your niche and offer relevant comment. Don’t forget that comments are now seriously monitored and undergoes an approval process. Enter your name, email field, website field and any other relevant field.
4) Request for backlinks
Link building can be as easy as requesting other bloggers to link to your website. It does not have to be complicated. But ensure you do it rightly, avoid been spammy with link building. Also, they should be relevant links. This does not necessarily mean you have to always make it contextual links, they can come from other resource or relevant pages.

I certainly can remember the days when buying backlinks was the going thing ( 5-10 years ago.). I never did it because it is hard to get rid of them. I remember some people talking about looking rank over night because of buying bad backlinks,
