Building an audience for a new blog is one of the common challenges every newbie blogger faces while just starting out with a blog. How do you hope to build a blog when no one recognizes who you are yet?

In this tutorial, I’m emphasizing on the basic steps you can follow to start building an ideal audience for your newly-launched blog.

Here are the major steps to follow while trying to get known by your audience:

  • Join professional bloggers’ Facebook groups
  • Read blog posts and comment on other bloggers’ blogs
  • Keep your friends and family aware of your new blog
  • Include your blog/website URL in your Social Media profile
  • Write and submit guest posts for pro bloggers
  • Participate in Twitter chats
  • Respond to questions on forums

Join Professional Bloggers’ Groups on Facebook

When you decide to join professional bloggers’ groups on Facebook, you’ll discover that there are hundreds of groups out there whereby pro bloggers meet and dialogue useful updates about blogging and the various ways to improve a blog.

In groups, you’ll have the golden opportunity to meet with other newbie and veteran bloggers and may ask for one help or the other sharing thoughts together.

You may want to share your blogging experience with other bloggers in the group while others do the same with you so you all can grow your blog audience together.

It’s a taboo to spam the groups in any way trying to mention your blog URL or asking other group members to visit your blog. You must abide by the group rules and must leverage it for the purpose for which it’s created lest you get banned.

Great learning and useful info here. However I have a question, as I am quite new to blogging. I have created most of my blogs here on my profile at Wealthy Affiliate (13 so far) but have created separate blog posts for my website only. Is this the correct method or should I be creating blogs elsewhere. Hope this makes sense and would welcome any guidance here?

Thanks for all this helpful info.
I particularly liked your idea of keeping your friends and family informed of your blog. What better people to be advocates for you then those we know and love.
