Getting People To Buy From Your Affiliate Links
This delves off into a short lesson on internet marketing but it's important if you want to get people to buy from you. The key to getting people to buy from you is to not actually "sell" anything. Your goal as a marketer is to first gain traffic. This is done most effectively by helping them answer the questions they have about the niche or topic your website deals with.I know this sounds counter intuitive but, if all you're doing is pushing a product in someones face and telling them how great it is, they will often times be hesitant to buy from you. You want to be the helping hand. Educate people about many aspects of your subject, not only the products you're selling but also about related topics.
Establishing Trust
Trust has to be established and this is done by first helping the person answer the questions they're asking, then your recommendations will be considered in their decision making process. You will get better at this over time. Each niche is it's own animal and learning the ins and outs of your niche is something that can only be done through experience.Don't make your links an in your face, "Hey, go buy this awesome product because I say it's great" type of thing. You want to play down your links. Don't place the links at the top of the page or have 15 banners throughout every post. You're not herding cattle. People wont blindly go where you tell them to go.
If you spend the time to write something that will help your customer learn what they came to learn and aid them in their decision making process, you don't want them to click away on a banner before you have time to read it. Placing your links at or toward the bottom can often be the most effective way to get people to click on them.

Thanks for the training. I wondered how to monetize the site I am working on. Steep learning curve just got easier with your tutorial.

Hi Ty great training tips. I took your advice and ran with fishing as my niche as its something I know and am passionate about. It has taken a bit of time to implement but I am now seeing some rewards from my eBay shop as sales have doubled over the last month.
Traffic is also starting to arrive at the website and I know I have loads more to do but if you stick to something you know you don't have to research the topic which takes up time but rather just write about it.
I am starting to enjoy my journey now and as time goes by it gets easier. I don't scratch my head as much now as I know there are guys like you in WA that are always willing to help.

I am blessed that I have a few "niche" markets that I am very comfortable as an "expert" and my problem is not the ideas, it is implementing the actual steps. but that's exactly why i am here, and i am here to stay! I truly appreciate the individual and group support this unprecedented group provides, and I am soooo grateful to have the chance to finally learn that which has baffled me for years! So i am taking my time, step by step, slowly getting into the training's, and enjoying the comments on the journey. With a few health challenges behind me a possible new one in front of me, this is a great positive productive way to get the "rest" I need and kick back with my laptop and create!! AND in the end make money! thanks for all your support and kind words. blessings MaryelPhD
